North Carolina

Ryann and I got to go with Clint's mom to North Carolina. It was so fun to see Jenny and Levi and their boys Jackson and McKay and for Ryann to meet her cousins.
Ryann did so good on the plane. It was such a LONG flight but she slept about half of the way. She was waving at everyone on the plane and was making friends with who ever sat behind me. She loved to stand up on me and look at all the people.
Sadly this is the only picture I took of Ryann at the airport. She was just watching what was going on around her.
I love being an aunt and who wouldn't want to be the aunt to these two cute boysJackson-6McKay-2Jasper-ball lover...whole life revolves around playing fetch

Story time with GrandmaJackson reading to Grandma, Levi, and Ryann
Ryann loved her cousins but she really bonded with McKay. By the time we left she would scream when he screamed, talked when he talked, and would even fuss if he was crying.
McKay would roll around with her, give her toys...and take them away
He even helped me feed Ryann. He just picked up the extra spoon I had and just started feeding her. They were buddies. He took her toy, so she of course found a tasty shoe to play with.If a toy was not available, or if they all happened to belong to McKay at that moment, then she just opened the box of wipes and helped herself.Ryann adored Jackson too
He was good at making her laugh
and rescuing her if the toy stealing McKay was on the loose
McKay was obsessed with Grandma's purse. He knew right where to find the candy.
If he was unable to open the purse himself, he knew who to take it to to get what he wanted.

Ryann relaxing in the high chair.
It was so great to have someone to have some girl time with Jenny. We shopped with Ryann till she dropped.

Hallie and Seth

Clint had some time off so we went out to Provo for the weekend to visit his cousin Lori and see her family-giant Seth, Hallie, Big Seth, and Hunter. We hadn't seen their newest boy, Hunter, who had just turned one and they hadn't met Ryann yet. Hallie was so excited to have Ryann come visit because all her aunts have been having boys.

Thanks for having us!

9 Months

Ryann's first birthday is creeping up way too fast! My baby girl is almost 10 months old. But since I am so late (again) in getting up her 9 months post, lots has happened. At her 9 month check up she was...
20 lbs 9oz
28 inches
She has actually slipped below the 90th percentile, closer to 80th now. Our chunky girl is thinning out.She is the proud smiling girl of 4 teeth with 4 more coming in. This pictures show her one side top tooth, but she also has the front tooth next to it too. I didn't even know it had come in or was coming in till I was showing my friend her one tooth and then saw the other one too.Ryann's hair is long enough that she gets bed head. I actually have to make sure the brush it down now. You can kinda see her bed head in this picture.Ryann FINALLY will hold her own bottle and at times gets upset if you don't let her do it. She is so curious with what is going on that sitting up and eating is a common thing for her to do.
Ryann can sit herself up, I am happy she learned this so that she is no longer fussing at me to sit her up. She army crawls with the best of them and at times will actually crawl. It is not a common thing for her to do yet, but she does it. Rolling and army crawling just get her to where she wants to be faster. Her favorite activity is to pull out her toy box and pull all the toys out of it. But it doesn't even have to be her toy box, she just loves to find a box and pull the stuff out of it.
Ryann is also very helpful with making sure all the laundry is clean and folded correctly. She also enjoys helping me pull it out of the basket.Ryann is our curious little girl. She is quickly getting into things and exploring the world around her. She loves to eat finger food much better than mashed up baby food and can drink out of a straw. She is still just such a happy baby and still sleeping through the night which makes for a happy mommy.

8 Months

Since Ryann is almost 9 months old, I figured I probably should do an update on 8 months.
19 lb 11 oz
28 in
She has learned that I am always putting bows on her headbands so she pulls them off. She will leave the headband on but gets the bow off to chew on. Hence the flower in her hair and the one sitting next to her. I did manage to get the flower out of her mouth for the picture by giving her a diaper wipe instead. She still loves paper.
Ryann is my little talented girl. She can click her tongue, whistle, and wave. Yup, she whistles. It is the cutest thing. She gets her lips just right and blows. It's a really quiet sound and she rarely does it, but I love it.
Trying a sipping cup.
Ryann has her two bottom front teeth in. She is also getting in the teeth next to the bottom front ones too. Her tooth just to the side of where her front teeth would be just broke through a few days ago. This girls is sprouting teeth like crazy! Needless to say she is a drooling, snotty, chewing machine these days. Everything is good to chew on....including Maggie's rawhide. To be fair though, the dogs do try to steal Ryann's toys sometimes so it's only fair she get a taste of the bone too:)
I have caught them bringing Ryann another toy so that they can take the one she is playing with. Ryann loves her dogs more with each passing day. Sally has learned that she can play with Ryann. She will bring her a toy, let her grab on to it and play tug-o-war with her. It's so cute. Sally does the whole growl and tug, Ryann is cracking up laughing cause she loves to interact with the dogs so much. When Sally pulls the toy of her Ryann's hands she will bring it back to her and play again. One of these days maybe I'll get a video of it.
Don't you just want to go get a cookie right now?
