Texas-Easter, Ducks, and More

We did an Easter egg hunt on Sunday. First it was a nice calm hunt for Justin, Lindsey, and even Ryann.

Ryann found a couple eggs hidden on one of her toys. She got an egg open and quickly got the candy in her mouth.
Good thing her Uncle Nathan was around to help her get the wrapper off and truly enjoy the candy inside.
Justin cracking open his eggs on Nathan's head. What a good fun uncle he is.
Then there was a wild, blindfolded adult mad egg dash. Everyone was in a circle with blindfolds on with the eggs in the middle. Then they all crawled quickly to grab as many eggs at they could. Yes it was a dangerous as it sounds.

Ryann loved her cousin Lindsey and Lindsey loved Ryann. She even brought over a special Barbie just for Ryann to play with.

My mom and I took Ryann to go feed the ducks in their neighborhood pond. As you can see, the ducks are quite tame. Ryann didn't quite know what to think of all the ducks up close.

Then she had a nice nap on the walk home.

Lindsey was so sweet and held Ryann.

Getting back to Texas and being together as a family was so much fun. I really loved watching Ryann play with Lindsey and Justin. Thanks for the great time. I love you guys!

Ryann's 1st Birthday

Ryann had a good birthday. We kept things low key and just had a small family birthday party. She, of course, still got spoiled. First picture on her birthday morning. No, she isn't sleeping, she had just woken up.
Enjoying her breakfast and teasing the dog
On our way to Grandma Greene's to get ready for the party.
Clint had a Bobcat to clean out his parent's ditch, so of course Ryann got a ride.

Everyone gathered around to watch Ryann open presents.

Investigating her presents
Ryann's love for pulling things out of boxes helped her in opening her presents. She caught right on to pulling stuff out of her bags.

Then came cake time. Dad had to help her blow out her candle and there weren't any burned fingers.
Everett didn't dare let Ryann touch him. Only Allie was brave enough to touch Ryann.
After cake Ryann had a bath in Grandma's new sink. I think that might of been her favorite part of the night.
Thank you everyone for making Ryann's birthday so special.

Texas-Zoo

Saturday everyone went to the zoo. Even Nathan came home from school, with his girlfriend Candice, and got to go too.
First we saw the elephants for Lindsey.
Align CenterThen the monkeys for Ryann.
She enjoyed these little orange colored monkeys the best. I think they were easy for her to spot.

Lindsey hitched a ride with Uncle Nathan
The monkeys were really active. We got to see a monkey fight.
And a zoo keeper feed the monkeys some treats.

We had to check out the lions for my dad.
It was fun watching my dad get so excited about the lions. He even took a pictures on his cell phone.

We ended our day at the zoo with the kids riding on the Carousel.
Ryann didn't know what to think of her animal moving up and down, and her world going in circles, so her and dad ended up on the bench.
Grandma showing Ryann pretty pink roses.
It was a fun day and great that we all got to go together as a family.
