At the end of July we went to the County Fair.
We took Ryann to the "Little Red Barn". The 4H Club sets up a little area that the kids can go through and participate in farm activities. Nothing is real except a few caged animals for the kids to look at.
Ryann and Daddy picking an apple and putting it in her basket.
Then she had Daddy help her plant a seed.
On the other side of the the sand box the pick the vegetable that they "grew".
They gathered an egg from the chicken coop
They looked at the chickens...
and the bunnies.
There was also an area that the kids could milk a "cow" and put a small bail of hay in a trailer and pull it with a tractor (a tricycle).
At the end Ryann got a ribbon, which she thought tasted pretty good.
But she also got to pick something from the "store" and so I chose fruit snacks for her. She liked them better than the ribbon.
At the carnival Clint took Ryann down the slide. She didn't cry, but she grabbed hold of her dad.
There was a talent show.
We went to go see Sydney sing in it.
Ryann sat with Lori while I video taped it.
We went to Alive After Five, which is a singing competition that goes on once a week for a month, but starts during the fair. Each week someone is eliminated and the top four people win money, first place winning the most of course.
Ryann is now fine with sitting in the grass, though she won't crawl in it yet.
She enjoyed the hot dog from my corn dog.Ryann was just pretty happy as long as she was eating.
And drinking out of mommy's drink. She is so good with a straw now and wants anyone's drink if it has a straw.
She thought it was also fun to pull the straw out of the cup.Lori enjoying some homemade root beer.Sammie enjoyed some red licorice and her mom's lemonade.
It was a fun couple of days that we spent at the fair. I was glad Clint was home so we got to do it with him. Next year, Ryann will hopefully have fun and we won't just be dragging her to everything for our sake.
